Kenneth L. Phipps

RED LION- Kenneth L. Phipps, 78, of York Township, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in York. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Certified Celebrant Jessica Smith will be officiating at the service. A graveside committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Md. Kenneth was born in Rugby, VA on December 10, 1935, the son of the late Delmar E. and Fannie L. (Ball) Phipps. He retired from the Harford County Highway Department in Harford County Maryland after 27 years of service. Kenneth was a member of Harford County Retirement Association. He was his sister’s pride and joy. He had many friends everywhere he went and was a kind and generous person. Kenneth leaves six loving sisters, Virginia Mae Sexton and her husband Pete of Jarretsville, MD, Edna L. Pikulin and her husband John of Red Lion, L. Louise Jones and her husband Donald of Aberdeen, MD, Carolyn W. Lehr and her husband Bill of Frostburg, MD, Patsy L. Phipps of Florida, and Joanne Richardson and her husband Ron of Red Lion. He leaves a special friend Jean Reeves of Bel Air, MD and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, William B. Richardson.
