WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- Kenneth F. "JJ" Walton, Sr., 81, of York, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Coeyman) Walton. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Monday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Dr. Chester Joines and The Reverend J.P. Bohanan will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday and 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery in Lower Windsor Twp., with full military honors by York County Veteran's Honor Guard. Mr. Walton was born in Manor Twp, Lancaster County on May 22, 1927, a son of the late Albert Isaac and Flora B. (Frey) Walton. He worked for Warfel Construction and retired from Intel Print and Gohn's Sunoco of Red Lion. After retirement he worked for Apple Ford in Red Lion. Mr. Walton was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in York and Pleasureville American Legion. He served in the US Navy and the US Marine Corps. in WWII and put the U.S.S. Midway into commission in 1945. Mr. Walton leaves two sons: Albert Isaac Walton, Sr., of Manor twp., Lancaster County and William Harrison of York; five daughters: Kay Myer of Lancaster, Linda Shirey of Wrightsville, Dawn Bailey of Shiloh, Wendy Smith of New Bridgeville, and Kristi Harrison of Winterstown, 13 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; a sister, Mae Ressler of Lancaster and beloved family friends Doug Werner of York, Karen Philibotte of York and Elisa Reichard of New Bridgeville. He was preceded in death by two sons: Kenneth Walton, Jr. and John R. Walton. Memorial Contributions may be made Heartland Hospice, 3417-C Concord Rd., York, PA 17402
