Kenneth E. Brooks

RENOVO - Kenneth E. Brooks, 88, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville with his family by his side. He was born May 19, 1929 in Renovo a son of the late Earl and Mary (Stout) Brooks. Kenneth was married to the former Georgetta Bowser. They celebrated 52 years of marriage together. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad retiring in 1986 after 31 years. He enjoyed western movies, watching The Three Stooges, decorating for the holidays, hunting and fishing. Surviving are his loving wife; one daughter Edwina “Winnie” Brooks and her companion George Mayes of Renovo. He was preceded in death by an infant son Eugene in 1969. A viewing will be held on Saturday, Nov., 4, 2017 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo. A graveside family service will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Farwell with Martha Sykes officiating.
