Keith G. Schmuck

Dover—Keith G. Schmuck, 72, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Caroline A. (Nailor) Schmuck. The couple celebrated 51 years of marriage on November 1st. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Harmony Grove Community Church, 6390 Harmony Grove Rd, Dover. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Crosley and Rev. Donald Wagner. A viewing will be held from 9-11 AM, Saturday at the church. Burial will be held in Red Run Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd , York is in charge of arrangements. Born March 5, 1943 in Windsor Township, he was a son of the late Austin H. and Fairy V. (Bubb) Schmuck. He was employed as a maintenance supervisor with Quaker Oats Company for 37 years until his retirement in 2001. A member of Harmony Grove Community Church, he enjoyed helping people from his church and community with any sort of tasks, including home repair, yard work, computer fixes and even taxes. Keith was always there for anyone who needed him. He also served active duty in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Schmuck is also survived by one son, Brian K. Schmuck of Dover; one daughter, Wendy K. Gohn and her husband, Doug of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Amelia G. and Alayna J. Gohn; two brothers, Larry Schmuck of Peach Bottom and James Schmuck of Dover; four sisters, Phyllis Byers of Dillsburg, Elaine Claybaugh of E. Berlin, Patricia Yost of Melbourne Beach, FL and Mary Jacobs of E. Berlin and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Glenn Schmuck.
