Keith E. Baker

Keith E. Baker, 71, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Castle) Baker. 

Keith was a quiet gentleman who spoke only when he had something meaningful to say, and in those moments, everyone around him made sure to listen. His calm demeanor and wise insights made him a confidant among friends and family, who always appreciated his thoughtful perspective.

Born and raised in York, Keith was a son of the late Ray E. and Grace L. (Krone) Baker. Keith developed a love for the outdoors and engaging hobbies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding peace in nature. His passion extended to motor sports, where he avidly followed NASCAR and cherished the excitement of drag racing and motorcycle racing.

Keith leaves behind a loving family who will dearly miss him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Baker; and their three children, Denise L. Mortorff and her husband Troy, Duane E. Green and his wife Jean, and Kimberly A. Stach and her husband Winfried; He took great pride in his seven grandchildren, Brage, Erica, Kegan, Katrina, Matthew, Tiffany, and Trevian, who were the light of his life; a brother Dennis Baker; a sister Sharon Urich; and several nieces and nephews.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Ray E. Baker and Grace L. (Krone) Baker, who shaped the man he became. Their legacy of love and values continued through him and is reflected in the family he nurtured.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
