Dallastown—Kay L. (Keesey) Messman, 86, died Saturday, August 20, 2011 at her daughter’s residence in Downingtown. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Messman. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 am, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 10-11 am, Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held Salem Union Cemetery-Jacobus. Born December 15, 1924 in Dallastown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Holtzapple) Keesey. A loving and dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking. She was a member of the Dallastown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, YMCA Ladies Auxiliary and a 1942 graduate of Dallastown High School. Mrs. Messman is survived by a daughter, Debbie S. Shupp and husband, Jeffrey, five grandchildren, Heather, Cassandra and James Shupp, Timothy C. Messman Jr., and Laura Messman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy C. Messman, brother, Richard Snyder and two sisters, Elizabeth Miller and Helen Miller. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tim’s Helping Hand Fund, C/O Christ Lutheran Church, Boy Scout Troop 43, 126 W. Main Street, Dallastown, Pa 17313.
