Kay F. Spiese

YORK – Kay F. (Husson) Spiese, 83, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Daniel F. Spiese to whom she was married for 64 years. Born December 29, 1937 in York, a daughter of the late Nevin and Muzette (Reese) Husson, she was a 1955 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Kay had retired from Fred George Accounting in York. As a Charter Member of Raider Boosters of York, PA she loved nothing more than watching football and cheering for her beloved Raiders. Kay also cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Springvale United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Spiese is survived by two daughters, Kim E. and husband Steven Dettinger and Tracey S. and husband Stephen Workinger both of York; three grandchildren, Derric and wife Jennifer Dettinger, Jonathan and wife Teresa Dettinger and Victoria Workinger; and five great grandchildren, Anna, Nora, Walker, Colette and Asher. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held privately with her pastor, The Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
