Kathryn M. (Lagus) Gaynor

POTTSVILLE - Kathryn M. (Lagus) Gaynor, 98, of Pottsville died Tuesday at the Schuylkill Center. Born in Allentown on January 13, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kuss) Lagus. She attended St. John the Baptist School, Pottsville. On November 20, 1930, she married the late John W. Gaynor, who died January 29, 1996. Kathryn was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. Kathryn loved to sew. Surviving Kathryn are: a daughter Joan and her husband James Florida, Pottsville; two grandsons, Mark, Tuscon, AZ and Paul and his wife Mary, of Reading; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of 65 years, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Francis and Paul Lagus. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM from the St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. David Loeper officiating. There will be no viewing and no procession from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville. Interment will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
