Obituary for Kathryn A. Lewis Corpus Christi, TX—Kathryn Alice (Lightner) Lewis, 92, formerly of York, died Monday, July 13, 2015 at Corpus Christi Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Leon B. Lewis. A Graveside Service will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave, York with the Rev. Titus Clarke officiating. A funeral cortege will form at the Mt. Rose Ave entrance of the cemetery at 10:45 AM. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 14, 1922 in York, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Ruth A. (Druck) Lightner. She was a charter member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on E. Market St, York and a member of the church’s “Friendly Seniors” group. She was a loving homemaker for her husband and children. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her dedicated caregiver and companion, Aurora Deases; one son, John E. Orendorff and his wife, Molly; 6 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
