Kathrine J. (Lunger) West

LEWISBURG - Kathrine J. (Lunger) West, 83, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Riverwoods Nursing Center, Lewisburg. Kathrine was born on August 18, 1927 in Catawissa and was the daughter of the late Boyd and Hazel (Evland) Lunger. On February 7, 1947, she had married the late William H. West who had died on April 6, 1988. Kathrine is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; William I. West of Milton and Walter R. and Linda West of Shamokin, one daughter; Joy E. Bennett of Milton, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son; John West, one daughter; Mary West, one sister; Pauline Billman and five brothers; Leroy, Ivan, Foster, Gerald and Robert Lunger. There will be a public viewing from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Majors Ray and Ruth Bartholomew from the Salvation Army will officiate the services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
