YORK - Kathleen V. (Luckenbaugh) Strine, 93, passed away at SpiriTrust Lutheran on Sprenkle Drive, October 7, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Paul S. Strine. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, in York with Pastor Julie Waltz officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a viewing from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. The Family asks that all attendees who are unvaccinated to please wear a mask Born June 29, 1928 in York, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Edna (Donner) Luckenbaugh. After her marriage to Paul, she worked as a homemaker for the majority of her life. In her free time, Mrs. Strine loved going to Florida to watch the baseball spring training, going to Disney World, watching Penn State games, and most of all, being with her family. Mrs. Strine is survived by a son, Barry Strine; a daughter, Paula Deardorff; five grandchildren, Josh Snyder, Christopher Strine, Eric Deardorff, Mary Kate Hoffman, and Patrick Strine; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Strine is preceded in death by three brothers; Harry “Buck” Luckenbaugh, Ralph Luckenbaugh, and Ira Luckenbaugh; and four sisters, Henrietta Peddicord, Violet Kessler, Florence Welhelm, and Dorothy Miller.
