Kathleen M. Mcgovern-Hrin

Pottsville- Kathleen M. McGovern-Hrin, 64, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday morning at York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on September 24, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha DeLozier McGovern. Kathleen was a 1964 graduate of Nativity BVM and a graduate of the former Ford Business School, both of Pottsville. Kathleen worked for various retail businesses most of her life. She was a member of Saint Patrick’s Church, Pottsville. She loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She kept active by helping with various fundraising events. She loved the Philadelphia Phillies. Kathleen is survived by her husband of 36 years, Michael “Mickey” Hrin, of Pottsville; her daughter Suzanne McGovern, wife of Robert, of Pottsville; her son Michael Hrin, companion of Sara Kovelesky, of Pottsville;her two grandchildren, Collin and Elise McGovern; her sister, Dolores Minarick, wife of John, of Pottsville; her two nieces, Kathleen Salam, of Wilmington, DE and Jacqui Minarick, of Pottsville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Patrick’s Church, 4th & Mahantongo Sts., Pottsville. Family and friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will be private in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
