Kathleen E. (Beates) Stone

LEWISBERRY- Kathleen E. (Beates) Stone, 71, died on Monday, June 23, 2014 at her residence. She was the wife of John E. Stone. The couple had been together for over 48 years. A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry. Born on October 11, 1942 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Dorothy E. (Hoover) Beates. Kathleen was a floral designer for Country Market for 7 years. Mrs. Stone enjoyed riding horses, camping, going dancing and was very artistic. She loved all animals. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Along with her husband John, Kathleen is survived by one son, Jeffrey Reed and his companion, Cathy Chamberlain of Etters; six daughters, Dana Whitmire and her husband, Richard of Mechanicsburg, Donna Linn and her husband, Rick of Lewisberry, Michele Stone of Dover, Bonnie Buckley and her companion, Joe Washington of Camp Hill, Denise Chapman and her husband, Jim of New Cumberland and Jamie Stone of Grantville;9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one brother, William Beates and his wife, Linda of Carlisle.
