Kathleen Ann (Mitchell) Day

EAST BERLIN- Kathleen Ann (Mitchell) Day, 74, died on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at UPMC Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Buddy L. Day. The couple wed on October 25, 1969.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at LCBC Hanover, 1504 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Born on May 8, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Handley) Mitchell. Kathleen was an executive secretary for Washington Hospital for over 20 years until her retirement.

Mrs. Day was an avid bowler and was a member of the Washington County Hall of Fame. She also loved baking, animals and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Along with her husband, Buddy, Kathleen is survived by her son, Lance Day and his companion, Holly of East Berlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Forever Love & Rescue at the Kitty Corner, 39 Queen St., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
