Katherine L. (Heath) Clancy

YORK – Katherine M. (Heath) Clancy, 86, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Emeritus at Creekview in Mechanicsburg. She was the wife of the late Gene A. Clancy, to whom she was married since 1948. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Pastor Robert Bishard officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. The family has requested casual attire to be worn for the services. Born December 31, 1928 in York, Katherine was the daughter of the late Enos and Elizabeth (Eichelberger) Heath. She was a housewife and homemaker, formerly residing on Topper Street in York. Katherine enjoyed word searches, reading TV Guide, eating Kentucky Fried Chicken and hiking. She loved when her son-in-law would joke with her and was known as “Shake ‘n Bake” for her love of shaking her booty. Mrs. Clancy was feisty and hot-headed, but loved her family and all animals. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Sue Breen and husband Bill of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Jennifer Sheffer and husband Josh of York, Tim Clancy of Manchester, and Michele Shertzer and husband Scott of Lancaster; and three great-grandchildren, Justin, Nathan and Ethan. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Clancy; and her brother Tom Heath.
