Katherine E. 'Kay' (Burroughs) Hildebrand

YORK – Katherine E. “Kay” Hildebrand, 91, passed away, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Charles R. “Bud” Hildebrand to whom she was married for 70 years. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Ewing Church Cemetery, Trenton, NJ. Born October 4, 1923 in Trenton, NJ a daughter of the late William A. and Henrietta C. (Mills) Burroughs, she had previously worked at Crescent Insulated Wire & Cable in Trenton and also at The College of New Jersey. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Trenton where she had served as a deaconess, and enjoyed traveling and cooking. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hildebrand is survived by a daughter, Diana H. and husband Anthony Shanko of Red Lion; a son, Gary D. and wife Joy Hildebrand of Somerset, NJ; three grandchildren, Christopher and wife Rachel Shanko of Red Lion, Amy and husband Brad Hayek of York, and Adam and wife Kristen of Lawrence, KS; and six great grandchildren, Ryan and Zachary Shanko, Grant and Paige Hayek, and Anthony and Nadia Shanko. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William A. and Clinton R. Burroughs.
