MILTON - Kate E. (DeWolfe) Hoover, 87, died on Monday, November 10, 2008 at River Woods, Lewisburg. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Hoover, Jr. who had died on June 3, 2006 and were together from 1968 until his death. She was born on March 16, 1921 in Forty-Fort, and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Leona Bell (Kishbaugh) DeWolfe. Kate was a former employee of American Home Foods for 20 years. She was a long time member of the Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church, a member of the Moose and enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, boating and bowling. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. Kate is survived by one son; Steve G. Bazarnic of Cumberland, MD, three daughters; Barbara M. "Barb" Shade of Milton, Karen S. Wagner of Watsontown and Margaret L. "Maggie" Bazarnic-Vespico of Reading, four grandchildren; Christie Bazarnic of Cumberland, MD, Lizzie Wagner of Elizabethtown, Andy Wagner of Watsontown and Alexandra Kate Vespico of Reading, one great granddaughter; Eliana Rae Wagner of Watsontown, one brother; George DeWolfe of MA, and two sisters; Doll Nubile of MA and Charlotte Snow of Boston, MA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. A public viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, where the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Kate may be made to the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
