Karl G. Diehl

SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP- Karl G. Diehl, 43, of York, died, Saturday, August 4, 2007 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Jill E. (Schlosser) Diehl. The couple celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on May 14th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at Mountville Church of the Brethren, 60 Clay Street, in Mountville. The Reverend Thomas D. Bellis and the Reverend Rebecca Fuchs will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery. Karl was born in York on July 14, 1964, a son of Mary (Hoffman) Diehl of York and the late Richard G. Diehl. He has worked as an Electrical Draftsman for Paragon Engineering Services in York for the past four and a half years; prior to that he worked for Buchart Horn/BASCO Associates in York for 17 years. Karl was a 1983 graduate of Central York High School and a graduate of York Technical Institute. He was a member of Hawk's Gunning Club and an avid Seattle Seahawks and NASCAR fan and enjoyed college football and spending time with family and friends. Karl leaves a son, Brandon R. Diehl and a daughter Kara J. Diehl, both residing at home, a brother, Duane R. Diehl and his wife Nadine F. of York, brother-in-laws: James M. Schlosser and his wife Sue and John E. Schlosser and his wife Bonnie, father and mother-in-law, James E. and Joanne Schlosser, and he was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews and a great friend to so many.
