YORK - Karen Renate (Aldinger) Trimble, 52, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with the Reverend Dr. Jerry R. Smith officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born July 2, 1958 in Hanover, she was the daughter of Waltraud "Trudy" Klenk and the late Leonard J. Aldinger. She was a LPN for 30 years working at York Hospital and in Binghamton, NY prior to working at Carroll County General Hospital in Maryland. Karen attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church in East York. She enjoyed traveling, reading, shopping, photography, movies, music, going to Atlantic City, NJ, and taking care of others. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by, a son, Thomas J. Trimble of Eldersberg, MD; three sisters, Sylvia Aldinger and husband Robert of Naples, FL, Robin Everhart of York, and Darlene Krone and husband Lewis, Jr. of Dover; two half-brothers, Michael Aldinger and wife Cindy of Dover, and Wayne Aldinger and wife of Massachusetts; two half-sisters, Holly Kahley of York, and Deb Glassmyer and husband Robert of York; numerous nieces and nephews; one great-niece; and various relatives from Germany. She was preceded in death by a half-sister, Victoria Aldinger; a grandfather, Malcom Aldinger; and a grandmother Blanche Aldinger. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charitable organization of your choice.
