Karen Piwonski-Zimmerman

RED LION – Karen Piwonski-Zimmerman, 53, passed away December 7, 2021 at home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Mathew P. Zimmerman, to whom she was married to for 30 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder officiating. Visitations will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, and from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Born July 21, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan, she was a daughter of Walter E. and Frances A. (Lubiszewski) Piwonski. After graduating college, Mrs. Piwonski-Zimmerman worked most of her career working in banking, as a Branch Manager. In her free time, Mrs. Piwonski-Zimmerman loved being with her family; spending time with their dog, George; and the many friends she had. She also cherished the relationships she made being a supportive and involved mom to her daughter and her daughter’s friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Piwonski-Zimmerman is survived by a daughter, Hannah M. Zimmerman and her fiancé Jackson; two sisters, Nancy A. Piwonski-Nemeth, and Cynthia A. Piwonski; and her extra daughter, Jordan A. Gebhart.
