WELLSBURG, NY - Karen E. Stoquert-Benjamin, age 66, of Pennsylvania Ave, Pine City, NY passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Karen was born November 17, 1946 in Punxsutawney, PA daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Bailey) Williams. She and Richard D. Benjamin were married in Pine City, NY on November 23, 1997 and shared 15 years together. Karen was retired from the Elmira City School District where she worked at Ernie Davis Middle School as a Special Needs Aide. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and genealogy, but found the greatest joy in spending time with her family. Survivors include her loving husband Richard of Pine City, sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick “Rick” (Sandra) Stoquert, III of Camden, NY, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Stoquert of Wellsburg, NY, two daughters, Dianna Lazouras of Pine City and Kelly Stoquert of Pine City, grandchildren, Nicholas Lazouras, Justin Lazouras, Kyle Stoquert, Kamrin Stoquert and Nathan Stephenson, a sister and brother-in-law, Lois (Merle) Cratsley of Odessa, NY, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Karen was predeceased by her parents and a sister Sandra E. Williams in 1945. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Karen’s memorial and committal service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 12 PM with Pastor Lynn Ensign of the Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will be in Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials in her memory may be made to the University of Rochester Medical Center, Palliative Care Program Unit 41200, 601 Elmwood Avenue Box 687, Rochester, NY 14642.
