Kain Lewis Heiland

RED LION – Kain Lewis Heiland, 12, passed away April 1, 2023. He was the son of Devin R. Rexroth and her fiancé Kevin Quickel of Red Lion and Brian E. Heiland, Jr. and his fiancée Emily Smith of Mt. Wolf.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Family of God Community Church, 147 First Avenue, Red Lion with Pastor Howard Edmondson officiating. A viewing will be held from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday at the Church. Private burial will be in Salem Community Cemetery.

Kain was born on April 23, 2010 in York. He was a 7th grade student at Red Lion Area Junior High School and participated on the wrestling team. Kain was an adventurous boy who loved spending time outdoors, fishing, playing Pokémon, rooting for the Baltimore Ravens, and being out and about with his family and friends. He was also a food aficionado and had a taste for sushi, Takis, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Kain will be forever remembered as someone who protected others and took a stand against bullies.

In addition to his parents, Kain is survived by four siblings, Remington Forest Quickel and Brantley William Quickel both of Red Lion, and Aurora Lorna Smith and Jaydiayn Eugene Heiland both of Mt. Wolf; maternal grandparents, Brad and Kathy Rexroth of Windsor, Linda and John Arvin of Red Lion, Len and Linda Quickel of Portage, PA; paternal grandparents, Candie Heiland of Lower Windsor, Brian Heiland, Sr. of Hellam, and Dorene Smith of Wrightsville; maternal great grandparents, Joan Blouse of Windsor, Shirley and Ralph Kreeger of Red Lion; paternal great grandparents, Arthur and Joy Heiland of Hellam, and Dorothy Wiley of Lower Windsor; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
