Justin Derrick Matias

YORK- Justin Derrick Matias, 34, of Jackson Township, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Nicole Lynn (Clark) Matias. The couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on March 14, 2021. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. The service can also be viewed on the funeral homes’ Facebook page starting at about 11 a.m. www.facebook.com/heffnertributes/live Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Jacobs Union Cemetery in York New Salem. Justin was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 29, 1986, the son of Derrick Angel and Angela (Portello) Matias. He also leaves his mom, Barbara Joan (Dash) Orr and her husband James of Florida. He was a Systems Administrator for E.K. Services, Inc., in New Cumberland. Justin was a youth flag football coach for the Dover Eagles and a youth football coach for the Spring Grove Jets. He previously was a youth lacrosse coach for Eastern York. He was original O.G. member of Compard of York and Mayfield Mat Academy. He was a huge sports fan and especially a fan of the Florida Gators. Justin leaves a son, Mason Nickolas Matias and his English Bulldog, Marcie Elaine Matias; two brothers, Agasga Matias and Dylan Long; and two sisters, Jessica Lynn Matias and Sage Matias.
