June L. Leibhart

Painted Post, NY-June L. (Shoemaker) Leibhart, 86, formerly of Red Lion, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Elcor Nursing Home in Horseheads, NY. She was the wife of the late Lamar L. Leibhart. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with The Reverend Albert Horst officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Canadochly Cemetery. Born September 7, 1931 in Lock Haven, Lycoming Co., a daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Gladys (Uffelman) Shoemaker, she worked as a seamstress in the garment industry in Hellam. Mrs. Leibhart loved to read, crochet and 5th wheel campers. She enjoyed spending time at Gray Squirrel Camp Ground. June had been a member of the former St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Craley. Mrs. Leibhart is survived by a daughter, Linda D. Leibhart of Painted Post, NY; a son, Michael L. Leibhart of Marietta; a sister, Juanita Getgen of Lewistown, PA; and a brother, Daniel Shoemaker of Montana.
