Dallastown—June L. (Kinard) Grove, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Dallastown Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Ernest H. Grove to whom she was married for 50 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born May 21, 1921 in Cross Roads, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur H. and Myrtle L. (Stitely) Kinard. She was employed as a machine operator at Brogue Cigar Company for 26 years. A lifetime and very active member of St. Paul (Lebanon) Lutheran Church, where she played the piano for 40 years and was honored for her dedication to the church in 1981. A former member of the Felton Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary, she also enjoyed scrap booking, word find puzzle books, daily bible readings, the time she spent with her brother Richard and his family at the beach and fall was her favorite season. June held a cherished place in her heart for the children of Noah and Carol Smith and loved them like grandchildren. Mrs. Grove is survived by one daughter, Jane L. Maddox of Cogan Station; one son, Michael Grove and his wife, Jane of Felton; one granddaughter, Melissa Grove; one sister, Janet Stump of Red Lion; sister-in-law, Clara Kinard of Red Lion and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Dale and Wayne Kinard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul (Lebanon) Lutheran Church, 6955 Rippling Run Rd, Felton, PA 17322.
