June G. (Smith) Koicuba

YORK- June G. (Smith) Koicuba, 90, died on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Manor Care North. She was the wife of the late William “Bill” Koicuba, who died on February 2, 2005. The couple wed on December 17, 1941. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born on June 24, 1924 in York, she was a daughter of the late Frederick S. and Mamie M. (Hamme) Smith. June was an examiner and seamstress for Tioga Fabric Company and was also a homemaker. Mrs. Koicuba was an artist. She loved to paint with acrylics and draw. She also enjoyed completing word search puzzles. Mrs. Koicuba is survived by one son, Barry Lee Koicuba of St. Petersburg, FL; one daughter, Sharon J. Clutter and her husband, Steven of York; seven grandchildren, Scott Koicuba, Jason Koicuba, Michael Koicuba, James Clutter, Ginger Clutter, Jennifer Hombach and Rachael Montero; and four great grandchildren, Sylvan, Es'me, Olivia and Mya. She was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Lindsay; and one brother, Jack Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
