MILL HALL - June Elizabeth (Nicklas) Graebner, 94, of Mill Hall and Summerson Mountain went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Saturday, January 16, 2016 and died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Her husband Alvin “Cy” Graebner preceded her in death on March 3, 2008. They were married June 21, 1941 and they celebrated their 60th anniversary along with June’s 80th birthday. In June 2001 when they renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary with a wedding celebration. She was born in Renovo on June 11, 1921 a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Stella (Green) Nicklas. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son in law Sylvia and Allan Johnson, a son Mac McEachran and daughter June “Teedle” Glenn and granddaughter Cynthia “Cyndie “ Johnson and baby girl Graebner-McEachran also two grandchildren Jeremy Allen Chilson and Soren Chilson also a sister Virginia and brother-in-law Fred Raemsch. June is survived by her daughter Diana Graebner-McEachran of Mill Hall and 7 grandchildren D Molleigh Graebner-McEachran of Mill Hall, Malachi (Amber) Glenn of Linden, Grant Allan Johnson of Annapolis, MD, Thomas (Michelle) Chilson of Salona also Daniel Glenn, Sarah Cole and Joedy Glenn all of North Carolina. 1 great granddaughter Ashton (Chris Rogers) Johnson of North Bend and 4 great-great grand children Christopher, Bradlee Rogers, Riley Chilson and Chase Glenn also several nieces, extended relatives and friends survive. A special note of appreciation to Arlene Raemsch, D Molleigh and Malachi for their loyalty and friendship during this time of need. June was devoted to her husband and family. She was a dear and stellar wife and mother. She was a gentle and compassionate person. Her role model was Jesus. Her favorite verses from the Bible were John 3:16 and John 14. When June was 16 she was visiting her parents camp on Summerson Mountain and Cy was on the next farm property where he could hear June singing. He fell in love with the beautiful “songbird” and many years later asked for her hand in marriage. She and Cy had been members of the former Lock Haven Assembly of God now Echo Hope Assembly of God. After Cy’s death June then moved temporarily to Maryland to live with Diana and D Molleigh. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Wayne Hixon officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at North Bend Cemetery.
