June E. (Chubb) Martz

LOCK HAVEN - June E. (Chubb) Martz, 75, of Fullmer’s Personal Care Home and a former resident of Beech Creek passed away, Tuesday, Dec., 16, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where she was a patient one day. She was born June 7, 1939 in Millersburg, PA a daughter of Melvin and Mellie (Romberger) Chubb. June was married in Berrysburg on Sept., 26, 1959 to Nelson J. Martz who died April 23, 2002. They celebrated 42 years of marriage together. She was a former member of Beech Creek Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and sending cards to her family and friends. She also worked as an Avon representative. She is survived by a son John N. Martz of Petersburg, PA and a daughter Diana (Brian) Cassidy of Newburg, PA. One grandson Devin Cassidy. Also surviving are 1 step-sister Mary Spiker of Leetonia, OH and 1 step-brother Marlin (Jill) Chubb of Thompontown. She was preceded in death by a brother Edward Chubb in 1985. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232, Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with the Rev. Mark R. Mohnkern, Sr. officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one-hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at Hayes-Fearon Cemetery, Beech Creek.
