June D. (Guise) Lehr

YORK –June D. (Guise) Lehr, 80, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Lehr. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. Paul's (Wolf’s) E.C. Church, 4501 Wolf’s Church Rd., York with her pastor, The Rev. Mark A. Billow officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s (Wolf’s) Union Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born May 29, 1933 in York a daughter of the late William Russell Guise and the late Edna M. (Seidenstricker) Brillhart, she was a 1951 graduate of West York High School. Mrs. Lehr was Vice President of Operations at the former Allfirst Bank when she retired after 40 years of service. She was an active member at St. Paul (Zeigler’s) Lutheran Church. Mrs. Lehr sang in church choirs and taught Sunday school for over 40 years; was a member of Women of ELCA; and also volunteered at the Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village. June loved spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Lehr is survived by a son, Terence L. Lehr of York; a daughter, Cheryl A. and husband Dale Brenneman of Sykesville, MD; six grandchildren, Christina Dehoff, Curtis Lehr, and Nathan, Andrew, Mark, and Amanda Brenneman; four great grandchildren; and a brother, James Guise of San Jose, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul (Zeigler’s) Lutheran Church, 4258 Zeigler’s Church Rd., Seven Valleys, PA 17360.
