June C. Young

DOVER – June C. (Paul) Young, 90, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Providence Place Senior Living where she had recently moved from her home in Mount Joy, PA. Memorial services will be private with burial in Citizen’s Cemetery, Lavelle, PA. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 15, 1926 in Lavelle, Schuylkill Co.; a daughter of the late Ray and Florence (Leach) Paul, she graduated from Ashland State Hospital with her Registered Nurse degree. June retired from Danville State Hospital where she was a Supervising Nurse for 35 years. She was a member of PA State Nurses Assoc., United Methodist Church, Ormond Beach, FL. During WWII, June was proud to serve with the US Cadet Nurse Corps. Ms. Young is survived by her sister, Helen J. and husband J. Morgan Stobie of Mt. Joy; a niece, Allison F. wife of Robert B. Savage of Dover; two nephews, Ray and Matthew Paul of Bridgeton, NJ; a great niece, Maggie Paul; and four great nephews, Steven, Matthew, and Jacob Paul and Ian Savage. She was preceded in death by her brother, James and his wife Dolores Paul and a sister Ruth and her husband Frank Cappel.
