YORK—June A. Lowhorn, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at Spring Grove Lions Club, 5625 York Rd., Spring Grove. Mrs. Lowhorn’s Life Tribute Celebration will begin at 1PM and continue through the evening for anyone wishing to attend. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born June 1, 1939 in York, she was a daughter of the late Dale Laughman and Doris (Estep) Whetzel. She was employed with Triumph Apparel for several years as a looper. An avid cat lover, she never turned a stray away without a meal, enjoyed playing cards and listening to big band music. Mrs. Lowhorn is survived by three children, Kemi L. Gochenour, William D. Gochenour and Riley R. Gochenour; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Beth, Ryan, Vanessa, Elias, Donnie and Justina; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Glenn Laughman; one sister, Linda Noll and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita L. Richie and a son, Ricky A. Gochenour.
