Julia Dicus POTTSVILLE-Julia Dicus, 81, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown. Born in Forrestville on June 28, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Metro and Anna Mashlaney Sema. She worked for many years at Cressona Knit before retiring from H.L. Miller& Son, Port Carbon. She was a member of Bethany Christian Fellowship, Cressona. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother and greatgrandmother. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Dicus, Sr., who passed away August 10, 1973; her son, Thomas Dicus, Sr.; her two brothers, George and John Sema; her four sisters, Helen Roland, Stella Pennypacker, Mary Strencosky and Anna Melnick. She is survived by her two sons, George R. Dicus, husband of Despina, of New Bloomfield, PA and Richard E. Dicus, of Allentown; her two daughters, Jullian Castellano, wife of Ralph, of Pottsville and Linda Fessler, wife of Alan, of Minersville; her seven grandchildren, Deborah Badger, Maryann Allander, Thomas Dicus, Jr., Sandra Weltmer, Rachel J. Fessler, Rebecca Fessler and Sammie Castellano; her three great grandchildren, Christina Dicus and Nicholas and Zoe Weltmer; her two brothers, Michael Sema, of Mahanoy City and Steve Sema, of Grand Bay, AL; her four sisters, Catherine Kostyk, of Moon Landing, PA, Sister Stephanie Sema, S.S.M.I., of Sloatesburg, NY, Rose Keifer, Llewelyn, and Stella Bretz, of Reading; two sisters-in-law, Catherine and Betty Dicus; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. The Reverend Dennis W. Snyder will officiate. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
