Judy K. (Furry) Mccans

RED LION- Judy K. (Furry) McCans, 65, of Windsor Township, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Lewis “Lou” McCans. The couple celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on May 17, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 149 Old Route 30 in McKnightstown, PA, with a visitation from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at the church. The Reverend Austin Chinault, II will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Judy was born in Chambersburg on July 27, 1948, the daughter of Bertha L. (Ott) Furry of Fayetteville and the late David E. Furry. Judy’s passion was showing and training dogs. She was formerly a member of York Kennel Club and Friends and Dog Ownership. Judy leaves a son, David A. McCans and his wife Lorrie of Danielsville; two grandchildren, Alex and Brooke; a brother, David E. Furry and his wife Jodi of Fayetteville, and a nephew Aaron Furry.
