Judy E. (Brown) Holmes

YORK- Judy E. Holmes, 53, of York, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at her residence. She was the wife of Isaac V. Holmes. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Monday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., in York, with a viewing from 1-2p.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Gary Smith will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Holmes was born in Lancaster on April 11, 1954, a daughter of the late Foster and Flonnie (Richardson) Brown, Sr. She worked for over 30 years for Tyco Electronics in East Berlin. She was a member of Agape Fellowship Church in York and a 1972 graduate of William Penn High School. Mrs. Holmes leaves a son, Darell L. Holmes of Lancaster, a daughter Nichole H. Catchings of Jacobus and her husband Robert, a God daughter, Monique Ford of Indian Head, MD, five grandchildren, seven brothers, Sylvester Brown, Roger Brown, Foster Brown, Jr., and Bruce Brown, all of York, Otis Brown of Columbia, Larry Brown of Ft. Worth, TX, and James Brown of Virginia Beach, VA, three sisters, Nomia "Gail" Crenshaw and Daphne Walker-Glover, both of York, Patricia Mateen of Lancaster. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A brother, Ernest Brown preceded her in death.
