Judy C. Dowell

YORK – Judy C. Dowell, 77, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her home from a lengthy battle with dementia. She was the wife of Charles J. Dowell with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 18th. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York and will be Livestreamed at www.Facebook.com/heffnertributes/live A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens. Judy was born on January 11, 1944 in Bluff City, TN, a daughter of the late Ernest and Pansy (Campbell) Perry. She had been a member of the Pentecostal Church in Bunker Hill, TN. Judy enjoyed taking care of her family, served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years and had received recognition from the teachers at Roundtown Elementary School for her assistance in the classroom. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dowell is survived by two sons, Charles J. Dowell, III of York and Michael C. and wife Debra Dowell of York; a daughter, Teresa C. and husband Adam Zeigler of York; seven grandchildren, Emma, Scarlett, Candy, Michelle, Bayley, Christine and Andrew; four great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jayden, Owen and Paisley; a sister, Linda Persinger of Bunker Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Leon Perry; and three sisters, Blanche Sass, Trula Bullock and Norma Carrier. CLICK HERE TO SEND FLOWERS
