Judy A. (Bauer) Johnson

YORK - Judith Ann (Bauer) Johnson, 67, died February 20, 2014, at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Carl E. Johnson with whom she was married for 30 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday February 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, 309 S. George St, York with her priest, The Rev. Jonathan Sawicki officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM at the Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born November 9, 1946 in York a daughter of the late Christian Bauer and the late Wanda (Flegar) Bauer Nace, and step daughter to John Nace of York. Judy graduated from William Penn High School in 1964. She was a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church for 26 years. She worked as a Youth Advocate with the Youth Advocate Programs Inc. for the last 18 years where she enjoyed helping families in the York area. Judy is the mother of two children; a daughter, Lisa Welsh and husband Terrance of York; a son, Gregg A. Miller and wife Tonya of York, however most thought of her as a second mother. She was always willing to listen and help anyone that wanted to talk. She also cherished her five grandchildren, MaCayla, Alexxa, Jordan, Billy and Shayla; two great-grandchildren Cali and Ryan; one sister Kathy Noll and husband Tim of York; one brother Michael Bauer and wife Jo Ann of York; two nieces, Jessica and Kristen; and one nephew, Alex.
