Judson E. 'Gene' Rineholt

RED LION - Judson E. “Gene” Rineholt, 69, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Sullivan) Rineholt. The couple celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on October 30th. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. The Reverend James B. Shuler will be officiating at the service. Gene was born in Spring Creek, WV on April 15, 1945, the son of the late William L. and Stella F. (Snedegar) Rineholt. He retired from the Jewish Community Center in York and prior to that worked for Sechrist Brothers in Dallastown and Ahren’s Meats in York. Gene attended Pine Grove Presbyterian Church in Airville. He was a devoted husband, loving father and enjoyed his daily trip to Rutter's. Mr. Rineholt leaves a daughter, Lori Ann Rineholt of Windsor; two brothers, Charles Rineholt and his wife Ellie of Fawn Grove and Ray Rineholt and his wife Ruth of Red Lion; two sisters, Diane Flaharty and her husband Ed of Yoe and Wilma Rineholt of Airville, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and David Rineholt. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 and Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, 4263 Delta Road, Airville, PA 17302.
