Judy was a graduate of Lycoming College, summa cum laude. On October 2, 1968, Judy married the love of her life, Paul Sargeant, with whom she built a life and family in the beautiful Village of Wetona. Judy taught second grade at Gladys Burnham School, was a lab technician ay Troy Hospital and then stayed home to raise her family and become a full-time farm wife. She was a charter member of Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church, where she served as church treasurer from its beginning in 1994. Her church was a second family to her and she loved to serve her Lord within that congregation of believers. She always took charge of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts for the church and performed tirelessly many other duties behind the scenes at Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan. Judy wrote the Wetona column for the Troy Gazette Register and Canton Independent-Sentinel for more than 20 years. She found much joy in planting and caring painstakingly for her annual flowers.
