Judith C. (Greif) Sterner

FELTON- Judith C. (Greif) Sterner, 66, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Richard G. Sterner. The couple wed on March 15, 1997. A viewing will be private for the family. Please join the family on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 220 N. Charles St., Red Lion to celebrate Judy’s life. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born on October 5, 1946 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Elva G. (Kaiser) Greif. Judy worked for United Cerebral Palsy, Pleasant Acres and most recently White Rose Ambulance. Mrs. Sterner was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Judy enjoyed working in her garden, growing African Violets, doing puzzles, attending York Revolution games but most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Along with her husband, Richard, Judy is survived by one daughter, Malissa A. Smith and her husband, Wesley E. of Windsor; one son, the late Larry Fales, Jr., who passed away on November 14, 2011; one stepson, Gary E. Sterner of Garner, N.C.; one step daughter, Annette M. Sterner of Red Lion; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jane Thompson of Felton and Susan Greif of Pasadena, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the food bank of Grace Lutheran Church, 220 N. Charles St., Red Lion, PA 17356 or the SCPA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York, PA 17406.
