Juanita (Wells) Mcrae

DANVILLE - Sister Juanita McRae, daughter of the late Lorenzo Homer and Willie T. Wells was born on December 27, 1932 in Uvalda, GA. She departed this life on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 3:30 a.m. at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 13 siblings and one son; Roderick Terrell Forrest. She received her early education in the public schools of Uvalda, GA. In 1950, she was united in holy matrimony to Clarence Forrest, in which they had seven children; Carolyn, Clarence, Jr., Charles, Christopher, Gwendolyn, Bradley and Roderick. In 1970, she received Christ and was filled with the Holy Ghost. In 1973, she divorced Clarence Forrest. Later in 1975, she was remarried to Artis McRae. She was a faithful member of the kingdom of God until her death. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a big heart and would be there for anyone that was in need. She enjoyed caring for others, entertaining others, and worshipping the Lord. Praise and glory to God was always on her lips. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Artis, six children; two daughters; Carolyn and Gwendolyn Forrest Brooks and four sons; Clarence, Jr., Charles, Christopher (Marilyn) and Bradley (Lisa); one sister; Pearlie Anthony and a niece/sister, Evelyn Coulbourne-Lake; twenty three grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. There will be a public viewing from 10 to 10 a.m. Friday, January 07, 2011 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Marvin C. Reeves will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
