Joyce M. (Seiple) Fake

YORK- Joyce M. (Seiple) Fake, 69, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Lamar C. Fake to whom she was married for 49 years. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Christ United Methodist Church, 5 Main St., Yorkanna with Pastor Jason Guillaume officiating. Viewings will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, both at the church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born on September 20, 1952 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mildred (Miller) Seiple. Joyce was a data processor for 25 years at Danskin until her retirement. After retiring, she helped at a church preschool in the cafeteria, volunteered at Bethany United Methodist Church for several church functions and volunteered at the local polling place. Mrs. Fake was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Yorkanna. She enjoyed playing cards in her card club, collecting baskets, gardening and most importantly, spending time with her family. Along with her husband, Lamar, Joyce is survived by her son, Brian Fake of York; daughter, Pamela Fake and her spouse, Emily Hall of Oak Ridge, NJ; granddaughter, Bridey Fake-Hall; three brothers, Daryl Seiple, Sr. and his wife, Karen of York, Karl Seiple, Sr. of Red Lion and Harold Seiple and his companion, Kelly of Felton; and four sisters, Stella Crumling and her husband, Donald of York, Debra Stevens of York, Kay Burke and her husband, Steven of Red Lion and Janice Lucabaugh and her companion, Guy of Bel Air, MD. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Henry and Jackson.
