Joyce M. (Kindig) Murphy

Joyce M. (Kindig) Murphy, 87, formerly of Brogue, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016. She was the wife of the late William F. Murphy. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born April 24, 1929 in York, a daughter of the late Chauncey and Frances (Kopp) Kindig, she had been a member of Dutch Sam’s Camping Club of York. Joyce will be fondly remembered for her love of smiley faces and her homemade Apple Dumplings. Mrs. Murphy is survived by two sons, Terry Wagaman of York and Bruce Wagaman of New Freedom; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paulette (Wagaman) Chodnicki. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
