Joyce L. Smith

YORK- Joyce Louise (Ebaugh) Smith, 72, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Smith. The couple had been married over 41 years when he passed away in 2012. There will be a visitation from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 with a brief celebration of life memorial service at 10 a.m. at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Pastor David Smith, her son, will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mrs. Smith was born in York on March 1, 1945, the daughter of the late George and Betty (Deardorff) Ebaugh. Mrs. Smith had attended several churches over her lifetime. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and lived for her family. Mrs. Smith leaves a son, David Smith of York; a daughter, Melissa Bos of York; three grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Zach Bos and Tyler Bos; and a great grandson, Michael. She was the oldest of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald and leaves siblings, Gregory, Linda, Marvin, Marshall, Timmy, Pammy, and a half sister, Emma.
