Joyce F. (Slenker) Sprenkle

RED LION- Joyce F. (Slenker) Sprenkle, 101, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in York. She was the wife of the late P. Lester Sprenkle. Born July 6, 1916 in Yoe, Joyce was the daughter of the late Jacob A. and Carrie L. (Diehl) Slenker. She worked as a machine operator for York Suit Company. Mrs. Sprenkle was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Joyce loved collecting angels, listening to classic hymns, and watching tv gameshows. Mrs. Slenker will be greatly missed by her dearest friends, Wendy Beaverson, Joyce Chester, Ruth Landis, and Betty Keller. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two older brothers. A Graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Shenberger Chapel Cemetery, 10085 Chapel Church Road, Red Lion, with her Pastor, The Reverend Timothy A. Funk officiating.
