Joyce Elaine (Smith) Shoff

Joyce E. (Smith) Shoff, 71, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Earl G. Shoff, Jr. to whom she was married for 52 years. A viewing will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. Born on June 26, 1950 in York, she was a daughter of the late Donald C. and Phyllis J. (Seitz) Smith, Sr. Joyce was a 1969 graduate of Red Lion High School. She was a stay-at-home mother who took care of the entire family, including friends and family of friends. Mrs. Shoff loved watching Shirley Temple movies, Let’s Make a Deal, The Price Is Right and her soap operas, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. She also enjoyed puzzle books. In addition to her husband, Earl, Joyce is survived by two daughters, Cathy J. Urey of Red Lion and Angel M. Shoff of Camp Hill; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; five brothers, Donald C. “Sonny” Smith, Jr. of Hellam, Keith A. Smith of Red Lion, Kenneth E. Smith of York, Michael J. Smith of Red Lion and Craig S. Smith of Wrightsville; and sister, Denise M. Ness of York. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony W. Shoff; sister, Karen L.
