Joyce E. (Wolf) Hetrick

YORK- Joyce E. (Wolf) Hetrick, a long time York resident, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on Christmas Eve 2008 at the York Hospital. She was 80 years old. Joyce was born February 15, 1928 in Altoona, PA, daughter of Adam and Minnie Wolf. She graduated from Altoona High School where swimming became one of her great loves. After qualifying for Olympic try outs, she continued to share her love of swimming her entire life through teaching young and old. She is survived by her son Steven Hetrick, daughter Robyne Hetrick, grandchildren Michael, Aurora, and Romey and her lifelong friend Ed Hetrick. She will be interred at Mt. Rose Cemetery in York. A public graveside gathering will take place at 10:30 am on December 30, 2008. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements.
