RED LION – Joyce E. (Anderson) Snyder, 82, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Charles C. Snyder with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage on January 8, 2024.


A Graveside Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Bethel U.M. Cemetery, 1674 Furnace Rd., Brogue with Rev. Cary Moorman officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to meet at 1:45 PM Saturday at the Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.


Born July 22, 1941 in Brogue, a daughter of the late Donald L. and Ida F. (Hake) Anderson, she was a 1959 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Mrs. Snyder began her accounting and payroll career at Red Lion School District and later moved to Keener Kitchen Manufacturing Co. where she retired after many years of service. Joyce loved spending time with her family and curling up with a book from her favorite author, Danielle Steel.


In addition to her husband, Mrs. Snyder is survived by a daughter, Lori A. and husband Michael L. Miller of New Freedom; and a son, Jason A. and wife Patty Snyder of Altoona.
