YORK- Joyce E. (Spangler) Seitz, 85, of Windsor Township, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was the wife of M. Lee Seitz. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on December 13, 2020. Joyce was born in West York on December 14, 1935, the daughter of the late Paul S. and Ethel (Bubb) Spangler. She was a homemaker who raised six children and later worked outside her home at the Red Lion High School cafeteria and the Bon Ton. Joyce was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion. She was a 1953 Graduate of Red Lion High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Her favorite times were family gatherings, whether for the holidays or a summer crab feast. Her children and grandchildren were absolutely her pride and joy. She was a kind and generous person who anonymously donated one of the gold Krugerrand coins to the Salvation Army kettle at the former K Mart. She never missed an opportunity to send a card to family or friends. She enjoyed listening to Johnny Mathis music and was a friend to everyone she met. Joyce leaves three sons, Scott Seitz of Dallastown, Jon Seitz (Linda) of York, and Jac Seitz (Deborah) of Craley; three daughters, Jolee Vasquez of Key West FL, Josie Blevins of Felton, and Joni Horne (Steve) of New Bridgeville; ten grandchildren, Lora Jo, Sytiva, Angie, Zachary, Erica, Alexander, Amelia, Andrew, Allyson, and Jason; and a sister, Patricia Golden of Red Lion. Joyce was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild, expected in May. She was preceded in death by a brother, Adrian Spangler. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., in Red Lion. There will be a visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Her pastor, The Reverend Timothy Funk will be officiating at the service.
