POTTSVILLE- Joseph J. Lenick, 50, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Born in West Palm Beach, FL, on May 2, 1961, he was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Barnes Lenick. Joe was a 1979 graduate of Pottsville High School. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown, with a degree in electronics. He was also a graduate of Temple University where he was certified in workforce education. He was a supervisor of information system technology at the former SIBT. Joe was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. He loved playing guitar and instructing his students how to play the guitar. He was a loving father and husband. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua J. Lenick. Joe is survived by his wife, Judy A. Campion Lenick, Pottsville, with whom he would have celebrated his 20th anniversary on August 1; his daughter, Jacquie Lenick, at home; his sister, Ann Lenick, of Womelsdorf; his dog Freddie; his three cats, Rosie, Holly and Sophia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Saint John the Baptist Church, 10th & Mahantongo Sts., Pottsville. Reverend David J. Loeper will officiate. Family and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 until time of Mass at the church. Interment will be held in Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Schuylkill YMCA, 520 North Centre Street, Pottsville, PA 17901. Online condolences may be sent to bestlifetributes.com.
