Josephine M. Bailey

Josephine H. Bailey, Age 83 passed away Friday, May 17, 2008 at the Bradford County Manor, Troy, PA where she resided. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 5 to 6 PM at the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Josephine's service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM with Reverend Francis Montgomery officiating. She was born February 1, 1925 in Canton PA daughter of the late Charles and Laura Rundall Hawthorne. Josephine was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and found joy in making several crocheted items for the residents in the Bradford County Manor. Her memberships included the United Methodist Church of Troy and the West Burlington United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Marcia Larson and Gerry Blach of Durango, CO, Valerie and John Benjamin of Troy, PA, her son, Robert Bailey of Troy, PA, four grandchildren, Tina Wisel, Laurie and Mike Brown, John and Sherri Benjamin, Tressa Brown, nine great-grandchildren, Jamie, Todd Alisha, Maureen, Bryant, Aaron, Kody, Kendra and Chase, her brother Dean Hawthorne of Gant, AL, sister-in-law, Jessie Hawthorne of Canton, PA, special cousin, Margaret Billingsley of Troy, PA, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
